Before the Aug. 24 city special election, some borough residents complained because they could not vote on an issue regarding the library, for which they pay property tax. Given that, should the Ketchikan Gateway Borough and City of Ketchikan consolidate?
Are you nuts? We just voted that down. Do not give anyone any bright ideas about asking again.
Yes. We really mean it this time.
No. We borough folk want to tell you city folk how to run things, but we do not want our taxes raised to pay for the privilege.
